Dear Tom,
I feel an unusual degree of interest in your endeavor than I normally do in these kinds of circumstances. I have been introduced to various churches, groups, cults, religions, and factions over the years. Some of them I have even participated in. At this point, I don't feel inclined to either full accept or fully reject this business regarding the LDCCSW and its book. But I do feel compelled to walk in fellowship with you a bit. I don't intend to think of myself as either your teacher or your pupil, but if you will receive me as an equal (brothers in Christ), someone that you can reason with, and seek out the truth with, I am willing. I began reading the new book of commandments you sent me. Thank you for sending it. Some aspects of it immediately raised what I felt to be legitimate questions. It is not my intent to examine these things with a spirit of doubt presiding over the affair, but will sincerely approach them, desiring only the truth.
If you don't mind discussing some of these things ... and sharing with me, I would appreciate it. It seemed more appropriate to start a new thread for this discusion. If you feel you'd rather share with me in private, through email correspondance, that is fine too. Whatever you feel comfortable with.
I didn't get very far in the book this morning before I came across the following statement, made by your predecessor, or the one who appointed you (or had a revelation of your appointment):
But when I read it, I felt compelled to share something, and my intent only is to share it and ask you to pray about it for your group or any you would lead.
I joined a community that claimed to have a prophet with a Urim and Thummin and the Sealed Portion, and lived in that community for 2 years. They believed that God had rejected the Independence area as the land of Zion, and that their place in Iowa was the new place of Zion. It seems Brigham Young felt the same about Salt Lake City as well. After I came out of that place, the Lord corrected me about a great many things, showing me how I had been deceived. Not only what I was deceived about, but how I had allowed myself to be deceived. It was a very humbling experience.
And ... One of the things the Lord revealed to me, in a very powerful way, was His intentions towards Zion and the gathering. And one of the Scriptures He shared with me and confirmed very powerfully by the witness of the Holy Spirit are the verse below given through the prophet. I wanted to share them and see if you might pray about them.
From RLDS D&C 98:4 (not sure what the corresponding LDS verses are)

"In 2008 Elder Daniel received a revelation that another prophet would come and that God would appoint him to lead the church and appoint a gathering place for the saints."I realize the statement isn't your own statement, nor is there an answer (or end result) given in regards to this statement, only the promise of a future revelation, it would seem.

4c Mine indignation is soon to be poured out without measure upon all nations, and this will I do when the cup of their iniquity is full.I am glad to hear you are reading God's Strange Act, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on those things I share in there. Blessings to you brother. I will keep you in your prayers as you endeavor to do the Lord's will.
4d And in that day, all who are found upon the watchtower, or in other words, all mine Israel shall be saved.
4e And they that have been scattered shall be gathered; and all they who have mourned shall be comforted; and all they who have given their lives for my name shall be crowned.
4f Therefore, let your hearts be comforted concerning Zion, for all flesh is in mine hands: be still, and know that I am God.
4g Zion shall not be moved out of her place, notwithstanding her children are scattered, they that remain and are pure in heart shall return and come to their inheritances; they and their children, with songs of everlasting joy; to build up the waste places of Zion. And all these things, that the prophets might be fulfilled.
4h And, behold, there is none other place appointed than that which I have appointed, neither shall there be any other place appointed than that which I have appointed for the work of the gathering of my Saints, until the day cometh when there is found no more room for them;
4i and then I have other places which I will appoint unto them, and they shall be called stakes, for the curtains, or the strength of Zion.
