Remaining hidden is a primary strategy of survival for these spirits... because it gives them a measure of safety.

Their desire is to fulfill their lusts through their host, not to be become known.
The last thing they want is to be cast out. When they get cast out, it is like they "wander in a dry place" ... they have no way to fulfill their lusts until they can find another host. They are a lot like people in that they like a measure of comfort and don't like change, so they get comfortable in their host. If they get cast out there is no telling what might happen to them, or how long they will wander. So, the last thing they want is to draw too much attention to themselves.

If they sense that they are in danger of being detected... they begin whispering lies to their host in an effort to avert attention to the real problem.

Recently, I was called upon to help a family who had unintentionally invited evil spirits into their home, by inviting a young man into their home, who in turn had brought these spirits in with him. God caused that these spirits became manifest before they could accomplish a terrible plan they were working towards. They became manifest in this young man, and through "strange" and "unexplained" occurances in the household, enough that other family members became aware of it, which caused them to begin praying for their relatives in that house, and they desired my help.

I knew I could do nothing until the heads of this household allowed me to help. Otherwise, I would have no authority. They had to be willing to accept my help.

The evil spirits kept this young man from accepting an offer of help.
And it seems the evil spirits had convinced the wife that there was nothing we (the Church) could do to help. It lied to her, fabricated a story (they whispered into her ear -which she, no doubt, believed was her own thoughts) that this whole problem was NOT a problem with this spiritual forces at work through this young man, but rather that the house was simply haunted, because it had been supposedly built over the site of an ancient graveyard, and so there was nothing to do but sell the house and flee. This was all a lie... and even a cursory glance at the situation from a standpoint of reason revealed this to be false.... since they had lived in this home for years without a problem until just recently, right after this young man came to stay with them.

This is how these spirits work when they have been detected.

BTW - I was finally invited when the situation went from bad to indescribably nightmarish. I brought another elder with me, and those spirits were cast out of the house as we were given permission to do so by those who owned the home. We did also have to combat and dispel the lies these spirits had told the wife, however, so that she could get fully delivered. When you go into a situation like this, you MUST be capable of exercising discernment, and receive a word of knowledge from the Lord about the truth, because many times the victims don't know what the truth of the situation is, and may unknowingly repeat the lies they have been sold by the spirits. The situation with the young man was that the spirits had driven him off somewhere, and so long as he is not allowed back in the house, their problem is over. Unfortunately, the young man bordered on total possession when they last saw him, and no one knows where he is now. We can only pray for him, that he might find his way to someone who will know how to help him. But he had previously refused help, refused to talk to the priesthood. He was convinced that these evil spirits was God talking to him, and telling him how to get power through terrible acts.

God, thank you for the power of your deliverance for this family. May Your Name be glorified by every instance where satan is confronted by your servants and cast out.
