Brother Randall, I'm not going anywhere with the quote, and its length is not really my doing - but God's. ;)

I share it here because it is the word of God concerning the subject of our discussion, the very revelation from which Latter Day Saints originally derive the notion of a School of the Prophets, so it may be to our benefit to have it here to examine.

The Lord's Kingdom and the work of the Father isn't going from ONE to MANY different directions . But it is a gathering of MANY into ONE.

Therefore the current scattered condition of the church and the Saints is not the direction His people are headed for... but headed away from. The Kingdom will have order, and that order will be established by God.

I cannot answer your question about whether Veazey, Monson, Larson or some other should lead it, because God has not yet revealed it.

Bottom line, I believe, is that we ourselves cannot decide to establish the School of the Prophets and vote on who we think should lead it. We will need to be led into it by the Spirit of God, and by revelation, when it is time. In the meanwhile it is good that we should seek these answers from the Lord and long for the time when we may enjoy its benefit again.
