From what I read and understand of the School... everything is to be done in certain and proper order. Opinions and divergent beliefs cannot prosper there. As there is one God, there is one truth. It is God's way, or no way at all. Man's way must submit to His will in this school...completely.
So, I guess it all depends on what you mean by interdenominational.
However, the main purpose of the School... as I understand it, was not only to educate the Priesthood, but also to get them all on the same page in their understanding and belief.
In our current scattered state, with so many different understandings, it seems very appropriate that the School would initially be an open invitation to all those who qualify (meaning priesthood). The two main purposes of the School would be to equip the priesthood for the ministry, and teach them from on high the proper understanding of doctrine, belief, etc.
I believe anyone serious about participating must take the scriptures very seriously. Those who treat lightly the word of God and prefer their opinions over that of revelation and the laws of God, will not be there very long.
That is my sincere belief.
