Because there is a great need, and others have responded in earnest to what knowledge and understanding they have, and seek to do His will... the Lord has seen fit to allow a partial fulfillment of this to take place in any number of places at various time. However, not a fullness thereof.
The school of the prophets... like many things in the church were put on hold, and never really got permanently established because of the disobedience of the Saints.
The words of the prophet and the law of Zion and our God became a thing of naught, and every man did according to what he thought was right. Opionions mattered more than revelation. The School of Prophets will be re-established when there is a people will to do all that the Lord asks of them. Until that time comes, to receive those things which the Lord would share in the School would only add to our condemnation.
I don't believe we will be very long away from it... it is on my heart very much. All things in their proper order.
