Sounds like a challenge! I'll help, if you wanna try...

It would be a challenge. If only I didn't require sleep...

It would have to be compelling beyond belief to pull in the initial views and then spread by word of mouth/IM/email. I once thought that this site was close to the perfect use of the internet:

www.thehungersite.com

It was visually pleasing, wasn't selling anything, and had a very easy action for each user to make a positive difference in the world (click a button). Its weak link is finding the daily sponsors and depending on humans to remember to return each day. It had 95 million food donations (clicks) in 2000, the year I first heard of it. Since then, it has been declining in readership, but not as badly as I (sadly) assumed it would.

So something like that, where we could inspire each visitor to actually DO something positive, where no sponsors were needed, and visitors got enough of a "kick" out of coming that they'd get addicted and want to log in every day just like they do to their favorite discussion groups and chat boards.

Hrmmm....rusty...wheels...starting..to..churn...(that awful screaching sound is my brain being forced to work a little).
