I have never read "The Shack" but I have certainly heard a lot of talk about it from those who have, and some debate.

Before I gave my life to the Lord, I read a lot of fantasy, loved it, but the stories that really hit me were the ones where a nobody is transformed into a reluctant hero who must overcome overwhelming odds to defeat a great evil.... some stories out there inspired me, made me think about my own role in the universe, and caused me to feel a desire to serve a greater cause, for good... you might say that some of them served as signposts along the way, trying to guide me back into the path. Let me make it clear that not all novels did that, but the ones that touched me did, and that is what I wanted to do here...
reach out to people not on the path
and also, share some things about the nature of God, and the nature of evil, and simply inspire.... while also enjoying an entertaining story. I hope I have accomplished this.

Will bring out more info when I get this published. Take care!!!
