It would be interesting to actually go out on a boat on the Sea of Galilee... or visit places where we know the Master has been, but... I don't care for the idea of going over seas in this day and age. Perhaps in the Millennium.
I have been out on a boat on the Sea of Galilee. I enjoyed it immensely as its one of the few places where someone hasn't built a huge church to commemorate the site.

I was overseas from 1996-2001 - spent a lot of time having my vehicle checked for bombs by trained dogs and mirrors that gave a view beneath the vehicle. In 2000 a bin Laden cell group was arrested in London that had the plans for the base for where my wife and I worked and my elementary age children went to school on the kitchen table. Every year I was overseas at there was at least one major attack on Americans. Excited to be away from the situation I returned to the USA in July 2001 and felt safe for 9 and a half weeks.

The reality now is that there is no safe place. I believe you would be statistically safer in Israel than in Kansas City.  If you get a chance to tour the Holy Land I would recommend going, unless the Spirit tells you not to. I will forever see some passages different for having the opportunity. Although there is considerable violence in Mexico right now I have taken the opportunity to make four trips to sights in the Yucatan in the past three years, again giving me additional insight into the word. I approach trips to these places with prayer similar to what I believe is needed to visit some parts of the USA.
