So - is religion is the works end of our God-relationship based in faith?

It is interesting that James, ending chapter 1 with the definition of religion, goes on in 2 to say:

James 2:15-17 Sure, a man may say, I will show you I have faith without works; but I say, show me your faith without works, and I will show you my faith by my works.
If a brother or sister is naked and destitute, and one of you say, "Go in peace, be warmed and filled"; even though he gives not those things which are needful to the body; what profit is your faith to such?
Even so faith, if it has not works is dead, being alone.

It cannot be the end of our relationship with God, based in faith. He is the author and finisher of our faith, so it must end back with Him.....one eternal round.

If God is not part of any particular denomination...how can we be?....unless He tells us to belong?
