Last year I was listing to a message by a Jewish Prophet explaining the latter day conquest of Israel (and Jerusalem). In his talk he references the prophecies in Ezekiel (38:1-6) where it mentions the countries that will gather together against Israel. We also find references to this in Zechariah and Revelation.
I want to offer the verse, explain what these countries are today, so we can also notice which countries are not included in this prophesy:
"Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal; prophesy against him and say, "This is what the Sovereign Lord says: I am against you, O Gog, chief prince of Meshech and Tubal. I will turn you around, put hooks in your jaws and bring you out with your whole army-your horses, your horseman fully armed, and a great hoard with large and small shields, all of them brandishing their swords.
Persia, Cush and Put will be with them, all with shields and helmets, also Gomer with all its troops, and Beth Togarmah from the far north with all its troops, the many nations with you…" Ezekiel 38:1-6
Josephus identified the offspring of Magog as a people north of the Black Sea (Russia). Meshech is identified as Moscow. So when the verse says, "Son of man, set your face against Gog, of the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal", it is referring to the leader of Russia.
Now Genesis (10) gives us the descendents of Noah as Shem, Ham, and Japheth. The sons of Japheth are: Gomer (Turkey), Magog (Russia), Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech and Tiras. The sons of Ham are: Cush (Sudan), Mizraim, Put (Libya), and Canaan.
Where I'm going with this is that according to the Jewish Prophet. The leader of Russia will come against Israel (and Jerusalem) with an army comprised of soldiers from Persia (Iran), Cush (Sudan), Put (Libya), Beth Togarmah (Syria).
Now notice which countries are absent…Eqypt and Assyria (Iraq). This Jewish prophet could not understand why Iraq was not part of this great army, until President George Bush and the American Army stepped in five years ago.
The verse from Isaiah (19:23-25) about Egypt being the Lords people and Assyria his handiwork also makes more sense about why they are not part of this great army against Israel...and why people in these Muslim countries are having dreams and visions about the Lord.
Just some weird stuff to ponder upon. Is it true? We may find out in our lifetimes!
