I thought it would be interesting to use that line from a book I am reading, as a way of introducing the book.

I'm going to recommend a book titled: "The Irresistible Revolution" and subtitled: "living as an ordinary radical" by Shane Claiborne
and published by Zondervan (Grand Rapids, MI)

The book chronicles a young Christians search for what real Christianity is supposed to be, and his struggles with what the Church has become since the time of
Jesus. In his search, he traveled to India and worked with Mother Teresa, rubbed shoulders with Rich Mullins, and worked extensively with homeless in America.
It is a brutal and honest look at Christianity, and his own struggles to define it.

I am about half way through this book, and it has both confirmed many things I have struggled with and questioned myself - and it has also provoked new thought
about what we are doing, and what we ought to be doing, and how to go about it.

Greetings to all in the name of Christ,

We are putting together a Book of Mormon study here in northern PA and southern NY which will be hosted at the local YWCA. It will start in October. I am
putting together a study from various Book of Mormon Study materials. Does anyone have a favorite or preferred study they glean information from? I have the
Survey of the Book of Mormon from the RLDS and the Home Seminary course from the LDS church and several smaller studies from the internet. I am open to
suggestions that you all might think will add to the study.

In Christ,

I am reading a new book called the Scattering of the Saints: Schism within Mormonism. This was recommended by a friend and it is very good. It is a book by a
few authors on the various histories of many independent and splinter groups within the Latter Day Saint tradition. I am reading it to get a better grasp on
truly establishing unity among the various groups. I love to read other peoples history so I can see where the common ground is and where past mistakes were
made so we can avoid them now.

So if anyone gets a chance I would really recommend it if you want a crash course on the succession crisis and the groups that came out of it.

Peace,

Teachings of the Masters of the Far East- vol.1 by Baird T Spalding
there are actually 5 or 6 volumes, but I am currently reading vol. 1. Mr. Spalding was part of a group of 11 men who traveled to India in 1895 and learned
from some of the Masters/teachers there. They believe in Jesus Christ and Heavenly Father. It is amazing stuff and it explains or expounds on some of the
teachings of Christ. Very interesting and thought provoking. Only 175 pages, but you have to keep putting it down to digest what you are reading.

You can find these at Amazon for just a few dollars and they are well worth it!

I don't know if God moved heaven and earth to do this or not ... but somehow, Lulu, my print-on-demand publisher, has arranged to have all my books now

Normally it costs lots of money, and you have to purchase an ISBN, and they then mark it up an additional 45%.

But, instead Lulu will be selling it themselves, through Amazon, at the normal price. This will make the books available to a very large audience.

Check it out.

A brother from Michigan called me about a month ago. He was reading God's Strange Act, and he called me to say that while he was reading, the Lord spoke to
him and told him that my work of writing was not done yet, and that I was to write a book on deliverance. When he told me this, it seemed to come out of left
