Haven't posted in a while, but wanted to be sure you'd seen this. Brought me to tears seeing this wonderful, joyous group of Christians in what used to be a communist block country, where they would have been prevented from worshiping like this just 15 years ago.

Family in trouble.

My daughter and her family have been evicted from their home. They have lost most of their possesions. Yesterday at 4:00pm, my 15 year old grand daughter took off. We still have not heard from her. My 17 year old grand daughter who is married went into labor last night. As of this morning, she still hasn't had the baby. Asking for prayers. God bless, Rick.

We have a good friend of ours in MI who is going through a real battle with the adversary right now. She just found out that her husband was messing around with a married woman. Her husband and this woman stole money from her business, and the last time she saw her husband, she found a burnt crucifix in the fire pit in their back yard. She has gone into a serious depression. The adversary is trying to ruin her and it is affecting her health. She has had a bad case of bronchitis since she found the crucifix (about 3 weeks now). Fortunately she attends a good church and has people there who will lay hands on her. I advised her to get that done right away. In the meantime I am asking for prayer for our friend from anyone who reads this and feels led to prayer for her. Thank you.

Teaching Class

Starting weekend after next, Saturday May 15, I will be teaching a class on the history of Ephraim, and the Twelve Tribes, and its significance or relevance to us. I will be teaching for at least a month. It is every Saturday at the old Wm. Chrisman High School, 700 W. Lexington, room 306, Independence. Mo. It goes from 8am-11am.

Could use your prayers for this.

Women's Conference

The doctor found a "mass" in my prostate. Said it was either an infection or cancer. I am on anti-biotics and will see again in about a month. If it hasn't improved he will do a biopsy.

Medicare

My wife Rose and I are both going on Medicare effective Jan. 1, 2010. We have our medicare supplements set up except for the Part D. It really looks like it is going to cost us more than the insurance she was recieving at work, and is much more compicated. Please help us to make good decisions. Also please pray for Rose. She has respiratory problems which seem to be agravated by her work environment. Don't see anyway for her to retire in this current economy. Thanks, Rick.

Layoffs ...again.

We are going through lay-offs again. The rest of the company went through it last week, and now IT will finish its layoff.s
Next Friday morning, we will be finding out who gets laid off.

swine flu

Prayers are needed for my youngest-Hunter. He has the swine flu- at least I think it's swine flu because of the stomach problems. Anyway, he is not feeling very well at all and I don't want this to spread to the rest of my family.

Hi,
Please ask for prayers of comfort for my kids, Thomas, Taylor,Connor and Hunter- their puppy was killed by another animal today- I will be breaking the news to them tomorrow. They were looking for her all morning, I found her this afternoon, very grateful that they didn't find her first- it's not something I wanted them to see.
They have been praying for her and asking about her all day. My husband wasn't able to bury her until tonight and we thought it best not to tell them until after it was done because I didn't want them going out to see her that way.
Anyway, I know it's a small thing, but they really loved their dog and this will be really hard on all of them. We only had her for 4 months.

Chris and I are expecting number 5 in January!!! I think it's going to be a girl- but I will be just as happy with another boy! My youngest- Hunter- is hoping for a baby dinosaur! (he's 3).

Reunion Camp

Our church is having a reunuion camp all this week, under fairly primitive conditions (since we haven't had the time or funds to fully develop it yet), no electricty or running water. And it is very hot this week, high 90's (heat index into the 100's) Please pray for the camp. Pray that we might receive the blessing the Lord has in store for us. Thanks!

Tech School

I am considering a technical school in which I can earn 4 microsoft certifications for different things. The program is very good by most accounts and I, on my aptitude test, scored in the 99th percentile of those working in the field already. My problem is funding. I do not qualify for the financial assistance with my credit. Bad luck and circumstance. I need a cosigner. I am praying for wisdom in moving forward with this program, which for the last two years has a 100% job placement rating in the field I am considering. Also I am praying for God's provision for the program. Please keep me in your prayers and ask that God provide for the opportunity He has provided for me. There is one grant that would cut the cost by about a third but that still leaves me with a significant financial hurdle to overcome. Also the grant is not, at this time, assured. Anyway, thank you for your prayers and thoughts.

my oldest sister

Hi,
my oldest sister is in the hospital right now. She has the flu and it has reacted badly with her diabetes. She has caught a lung infection and her kidneys shut down for a while- they are functioning now but not great. She is also really missing her two little boys- they have not been allowed to see her because she has been in isolation at the hospital. Please pray for her and her family, her name is Genny and her husband is Bob and her two little boys are Josh and Christain.

Hill Cumorah Expedition Team spring trip 2009

The drivers with the HCET spring trip left this morning at 5 am from Buckner. The trip is from March 26 to April 9.

My Sister-In-Law's Nephew

My sister-in-law's 26 year old nephew made the decision to take his own life last Sunday. My brother and I were close to him and took him on camping trips with us when he was a kid. He had a good heart and was a kind person. It is hard for us to believe he did this. I ask for prayer for my brother and sister-in-law and her family. This is a tough time for them.
